ARTIST SHORT BIO Jill’s tagline, “Capturing Life in Oils” describes her mission to celebrate the magic of the everyday. After a 16-year first career, Jill’s artistic journey began with portraiture classes in 2003. In 2011, Jill embarked on her 100 Faces in 100 Days Project — creating a daily portrait of anyone who volunteered to sit for her. After discovering she could paint moving subjects and missing the daily arrival of “models,” Jill headed outside to capture whatever and whoever she found. While she also paints portraits, still lifes and interiors, Jill’s plein air adventures capturing life on location is her greatest thrill.
