ARTIST SHORT BIO
Kari Ganoung Ruiz was raised at the edge of The Finger Lakes National Forest in New York State, setting the stage for her deep connection to the natural landscape. Kari became a full time artist in 2014, focusing on painting outside from life. She now travels the country capturing the landscape as she experiences it. Recent awards include: Best In Show – Adirondack Plein Air in New York 2025, Grand Prize – Lighthouse Plein Air Festival in Florida 2024, Best In Show -Shadows On The Teche in Louisiana 2023
