ARTIST SHORT BIO Lyudmila Tomova Clark is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning artist known for her expressive impressionist style. Specializing in oil and watercolor, she creates captivating en plein air landscapes, figures, and portraits. A regular participant in 12 prestigious plein air events across the U.S. each year, her work has been featured in an 8-page spread in PleinAir Magazine (June/July issue) and highlighted in International Artist, Art of Watercolour, Pratique des Arts, and Splash books. She has earned numerous awards, including honors from the PleinAir Salon, ArtFields, NOAPS, OPA, and the American Impressionist Society, and holds signature memberships in multiple watercolor societies. Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, Lyudmila earned a BFA from FIT in NYC and the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia before immigrating to the U.S. in 1990. With 40 awards in 2023/2024, including 17 first-place wins, her dynamic, painterly approach blends abstract and traditional elements, capturing light, energy and emotion.
