Meet & Greet with Featured Artists & Dueling Brushes & Auction

Welcome the featured artists after their first day in New Bern. Artists will be coming off the streets and out of the fields to share their first day’s work.  The guests at the Meet & Greet will have the first view and chance to purchase the freshest of paintings. You can even buy a painting in progress if the artist isn’t quite finished.

Wet canvases on the artists’ easels will surround the opening exhibition making a perfect setting for the first taste of special bites served up by Marc Bost, our guest event chef, flown in from France, the birthplace of en plein air.

This event is closed to the public until 6:00 PM, open only to VIP Passport Holders.

Passports are presented to Sponsors and Donors as commiserate to the Sorolla, Cassatt, Monet, Van Gogh and Renoir levels.

PISSARO level donation $150 receive Two (2) VIP Passports for passage to:

• 2 Tickets for the Meet & Greet event  Monday, May 12, 2025. 6:00-8:00. Your choice of wine or special beer brewed for the occasion paired with a special snack box.
•  2 Tickets to the competition preview Saturday, May 17, 2025, 5:00-6:00. Hor d’oeuvres with with your choice wine, beer and special drink. Ticket holders will have first look and chance to buy available paintings before the awards ceremony. Artists choose three paintings to be judged for awards ($16K+ ), two may have already been sold during the week, but one of the three must be for sale during this event.
• Your name (or family) will be listed as Special Friends of the North Carolina Plein Air Art Festival on signage in gallery and published material.
