Armand has been honored with awards throughout his long career including 6×6 Higby gallery awards in 2022 and 2023, third Place award for Quickdraw Plein Air Abingdon 2023, Best use of light and Third Place Quickdraw Awards Harford Plein Air 2024 and Best of Show and Best Quickdraw Awards for Plein Air Abingdon 2024.Armand Cabrera was the first painter to be on the cover of The Piedmont Virginian Magazine.
Armand has been a featured artist in Southwest Art, Art of the West, Plein Air, International Artist, Art and Antiques, Art Business News and Modern Impressionist magazines.

Artist Statement
I believe an artist reveals the sublime in the ordinary. How you paint something is more important than what you paint.
Starting with the September October issue of Modern Impressionist Magazine, I have three feature articles in three consecutive issues. The Sept/Oct Issue article is an 8-page demonstration of a 30×40 painting. The Nov/Dec Issue article was a nine-page article called Painting the Blueridge in Autumn written by me and included 14 images of my Virginia Piedmont Paintings. The Jan/Feb Issue article was an 11-page feature including 17 images of my work throughout my career.
