Dipali Rabadiya

I am an “Alla prima” painter which means painting “all at once”or “wet-on-wet” creating an ordinary things. My paintings represents bold colors and spontaneous brush marks with limited palette. Painting a plain air style painting and teaching is an integral part of my art career. I started painting small and often and this habit is leading me to my ultimate goal. I received a Grand prize award and First place Quick draw Prize at Falls Church Plein air event in 2024. I also received a Price award by First Lady of Virginia at Meadowlark farm Plein air event in Virginia. Carol marine and Kevin Macpherson is my biggest influence in art.

Biography

Dipali Rabadiya is an “Alla prima” painter which means painting “all at once”or “wet-on-wet” creating an ordinary things. Her paintings represents bold colors and spontaneous brush marks.

Dipali was born and raised in Gujarat, India and now lives at Broadlands, VA with her husband and two sons. Her interest in art was developed when she was very young. She has always enjoyed painting and drawing ever since she was a child and never stopped thinking about it. She took various painting and Drawing classes at a very young age. She received her degree in Masters of Business Administration and graduated in 2002 from India. She moved to America in December of 2002, and worked for a few years in logistics companies in the USA. Her interest in being an artist has never stopped, so she began to pursue her Degree in BFA at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. She has won a Genesis award at Newport News, VA.

She is a self representing Daily painter and an Instructor. She teaches at The yellow barn studio and Gallery at Glen Echo, MD as well as Art school of Great Falls, VA. She paints from observation and her painting style is Alla prima. Plein air painting and teaching is a an integral part of her artistic career. She believes that painting small and often improves the artistic skill and encourages an individual to be more creative in their field. Carol Marine and Kevin MacPherson is her biggest influence in her art career as well as her work.
